Guilty Fashion

Fast fashion, cheap disposable clothing, is becoming a serious environmental problem. We consume more than ever before and dispose of faster than ever before, causing serious environmental damage.

It is estimated that 10% of global carbon emissions are caused by the fashion industry. Due to the toxic chemicals released in the production of clothing, water sources dry up and rivers are polluted.

In addition, workers in developing countries are exploited by being forced to work long hours in terrible conditions for low wages.

At BIRTON KINGSLEY we try to reverse this trend and contribute to more sustainability in the fashion industry. That's why our clothes are high quality, durable and long lasting, they last a few years and not just a few washes.

We firmly believe that sustainability starts with investing in high-quality materials, genuine craftsmanship and sustainable production techniques.

Reducing our carbon footprint

We produce in Europe for the European market, which reduces the transport distance to the consumer by 80%. Our goods are transported exclusively by ship or road, which further reduces the impact on the environment.

In addition, our factories use machinery and equipment with high energy efficiency certified to A and B levels, which further reduces the carbon footprint.

Trees are the best CO2 absorbers, and BIRTON KINGSLEY offsets every item sold by planting a tree around the world.

Clothing production

Did you know that 2,700 liters of water are used to produce a single T-shirt? That's the equivalent of what one person would drink in 900 days!

We are aware of this harsh reality, which is why we invest in recycling the water used in our production process: the closed water cycle in our factories ensures that water can be reused and chemicals that do not belong in nature are not disposed of there.

Through a three-step process, waste is gradually removed from the water and disposed of in accordance with the highest industry and regulatory standards.

Fair conditions

Favorable working conditions, fair wages and respectful treatment are an absolute must for us as a company. Therefore, we only work with factories that can meet these standards .

The production facilities in Europe that are our cooperation partners all comply with these standards and share a common vision of sustainability in the fashion industry.

Environmentally friendly packaging

All our packaging is 100% plastic-free and made of FSC® certified materials that are fully recyclable.

The materials are biodegradable and, when exposed to microbes, break down into their natural components. In addition, each package is made of at least 60% recycled material, which means fewer new materials are used and less waste is generated.
